On this episode meet Suellen who hasn’t let the lifechanging loss of her leg change her outlook on completing challenges. She started cycling shortly after she became an amputee as a way to cross train for both a half and full marathon. While training with Sportable, an organization in Virginia that works with individuals with disabilities, she learned about RAGBRAI, and the Adaptive Sports Iowa Team who helps riders get across Iowa. She has since completed two RAGBRAI’s so far. Her attitude is reflected in her definition of her favorite word: ADAPT. “You can do whatever you want, you just need to figure out how to do it differently.” Adaptive Sports Iowa: https://www.adaptivesportsiowa.org/events-programs/cycling-team/ Sportable: https://sportable.org/ Just Go Bike: ragbrai.com/justgobike/ Watch, or listen on our Just Go Bike YouTube channel. www.youtube.com/@JustGoBikePodcast Have a topic for a future episode?
