Learn about the significance of getting your hearing checked—'Test your ears at 50 years' isn't just a catchy slogan, but crucial advice for maintaining good ear health.
We have come to the end of Better Hearing Month, the month of May. And again, it's a great time to get that hearing screening set up. Again, we always say test your ears at 50 years. It's not only a catchy slogan, it's great advice too. So make sure you take advantage of that. Now, Doug, you are located in several locations. You're based out of Atlantic. You come up here to Carroll several days a week, but you're also in Audubon and you've got some news about the Audubon office.
Yeah. I mean, after 25 years, basically, of being in the same location, we're moving and we're excited about it. So we were on the south side of the square. If you're familiar with Audubon, you know, when you come up Broadway, the city park there, we're on the south side of that for the last 25 years. But the building was sold. And so I had to find a different place to move. And and so. We have set up in another location. It's at 222 Broadway. There are two businesses there currently. One is Robinson Runkey, and many people are familiar with that business. And then in the same location is the With Hope Clinic. That is Hope Jensen's clinic. She's a nurse practitioner from Audubon, has a great health care practice there. And she had some space that was available. And I'm in Audubon just a limited time, three hours a week, basically, on Thursday afternoons. and she's not in the clinic those days, and so it worked out for both of us to be there. Really excited about it. Last couple weeks, we've got everything set up in there. Got my sound booth moved.
That's not an easy task. Oh, boy. I've seen the sound booth.
I've taken a hearing test at your place, and that's a heavy-duty thing. It was 25 years ago. I was a little bit stronger back then. Luckily, I had my younger, bigger brother, David, to help me, and Jerome, Hope's husband, and the help of a forklift as well. So we got that moved over to the new location, and it's going to be great. I'm excited about it. Very professional-looking, healthcare-looking space, and just happy to continue to provide services for folks in Audubon. You know, I had the building that I was in before had been for sale for a while. And so, you know, I had a lot of people coming in that were a little worried, was I maybe leaving town or whatever. Mm-hmm. You know, I do have a somewhat of a limited schedule there, but for folks that don't drive, you know, that can't get out of, you know, maybe they can drive in town, but they don't want to drive on the highway or drive up in Atlantic or Carroll. You know, this really works out well for them. And no steps going in. It's a great setup. No steps. And, you know, just again to familiarize people, it's be across the street to the north from Ace Hardware. So, you know, when you come into Audubon, you know, if you're coming from the south, you hit Casey's, take a right. And it's just there on the left on the north side of the street. So very, very easy location to get to and excited to be there. And Carol, my secretary there, is excited to to have that space.
All right, so moving in Audubon once again. After 25 years in one location, moving, change is always exciting, definitely. So take a look for them in the Audubon area. What's the number here in Carroll, Doug, if anybody wants to set up a screening during May Better Hearing Month? Yeah, I'd love to hear from them. It's 792-5933. It's Audiological Services of Iowa there to help you out. Again, test years of 50 years, great advice. So make sure you do that, whether it's Better Hearing Month or not.
